Foolish Games Chapter 4

Chapter 4
A smile grew upon my face. This whole angel thing was turning out to be, well, pretty dang amazing. Angels with standing the test of time, from B.C. time period. Most likely before that too. It was astounding, to think that I was one of them. That there is more to my life.
“Pharaohs eh?” I replied.
“Yeah. Well, we’ve been around since the dawn of time. Somewhat. Its another long drawn out story.”
“Oh.”
My smile faded. I was so naive. I have been around since 1867, and I know so very little about my own kind. I wanted to know more, wanted to question him further, but I refrain from it. I looked at the clock, I have to leave soon.
“So should I leave now?” I asked. He nodded.
“Do you have any clue where to go?”
“Umm, No. Not really, but I figure I could just fly east till I find some familiar site. Or something.”
“Ahh. Maybe you can ask for directions from an angel who knows their way around too.” His witty response made me think. I almost felt like a child.
“Alright, how, and where?” I asked in defeat.
“Well you see, you shouldn’t leave till you see the stars. The stars are directional navigations for you to use. If you know each of them by name, or description, it will be easier for you to travel. Got it?”
“Uh, teacher, I have a question?” I asked.
“No sarcasm, or else I would start headed east or west.”
“Sorry, I meant it in the best of wishes.”
“I’m sure you did.”
“Okay my question, how am I appose to remember all the stars? There are what? Ten billion trillion?”
“Point?”
“You’ve had how many years to remember them? Compared to me? Who is a few years young to say the least.”
“Your such a teenager.”
“Thanks. Can you explain?”
“You will remember the stars sooner or later. For now through, I’ll give you the directions. Do you think you can look for stars?”
“I’m not that slow.”
Mike was starting to get on my nerves. In all honesty my question was logical to me. How in the world was I going to remember all the stars, by name and characteristics. I shrugged off the thought. I was going home.
For every star he created, he calls it by it’s name. Michael voice rang in my ears. As he began to show me stars and listed direction in my head. My head began to spin.
