May 22, 2010

“So, where are you going?” I asked after the information was passed to me through our connection.
“It is of none of your concern.”
I was beginning to think that he is nicer around Maxine. The little to no respect, was driving insane. It almost made me like an outsider. An outsider, even through I felt like it was my right. After Michael finished his sentence I got up and briskly walked out of the house. I was disappointed.
I looked up at the sky. It was almost dawn. The stars were starting to shine. They were my map. In my head I had a GPS. With both of those things going for me, I still felt lost. Lost with the fact that I was going to be alone. If what Michael said was true, then there was somebody else at there for me. Me only.
When I would fine my other half? Probably never. I was nothing special. The hope of finding them was low. I wanted to repress the memory. The memory of ever thinking that there was somebody out there for. I need to focus on current task. The task of finding way home to London. I need to erase that thought. Distractions were definitely not needed.
Staring up at that open star studded sky, I also felt small. I was just one person. One person who apart of a group of seventeen hundred. I was not as big as the mountains, or the trees. I was as small as the wolf. Tonight, I have to go home, by finding my way through the vast open night sky. I spread my wings. Smiled, as a tear trailed down my face.
Goodbye.
The crisp cold air wrapped around my wings and body. My usual light feeling was replaced with the an algid feeling. I pushed on. I wanted to stop. I swung my wing harder. In the sky I searched for the stars. I first wanted to find a dark blue, white star., need Apollo. I found it.
“Apollo, where is Alpha?” I asked aloud to interrupt my own thoughts and the empty silence.
To my surprise Apollo twinkled on queue. It flashed twice, then shot to the right, then flew back to it original spot. I flickered my eyes with weariness. Stars are appose to move then move back. I ignore it. Continued on my journey. The visual map in my head, that Mike gave me, then suddenly told me to turn right. Curious.
I soon found Alpha. Not far from Apollo, just to the right. Maybe…
“Alpha, were I is your fellow friend Gatious?” I asked in curiousness.
Like I thought, the star flashed in the direction Gatious was. Remembering the stars might be easier then I thought. They listen to me. They hear my voice and answer my questions. I asked the stars and continued on my way to London. I would be home in no time. As long as I had no detours or distractions.
The night sky was dark. Black wings could easily be camouflaged in the sky. I felt vulnerable, but I continued to push on. My eyes would have to protect me, for now. I continued, praying that the stars would warn me, or that I could hear them before they got close. My hear raced. My senses were sharpen, and I was aware.
